Qing Dong was born in Wuhan, China. Qing graduated with BA from China Hubei Institute of Fine Arts (HIFA) and later graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts graduate program. As an oil painting artist and a photographer, through the long term of studying and exploring on eastern and global multi-cultural aesthetic forms, Qing created “new image realism style”, and formed his own and distinct individual artistic language.
Qing’s artworks include oil paintings and photographs. Qing’s works have been selected for numerous international art exhibitions and art museums, such as the Art Basel Miami Beach, the Venice Biennale, New York Armory Art Show, Guangdong Museum of Art, Today Art Museum Beijing, Beijing Songzhuang Art Center, Shanghai Zhuqizhan Art Museum, Kaohsiung Art Museum, Hubei Museum of Art, Wuhan Art Museum, etc. Qing’s works have earned many prizes and published on various media. In addition, Qing’s works have been collected by both art institutions and private collectors throughout China and abroad.
